craftapalooza

We're having a big farewell to summer party for YOU.

This Thursday, August 22nd, 1-4 pm, at The Thought Lot, 37 E. Garfield in Shippensburg, $5
As a goodbye to summer/thank you to our creative supporters, we’ve planned a craftapalooza!  For your $5, you’ll have access to lots of creative and tasty goodness:  a button machine, big bubbles (plus a wand & recipe to take home), cotton candy, colorful volcano drinks, and OF COURSE a full line-up of crafts for all ages.

*The event will be a bit open-house-y.  You can come to all 3 hours or any portion thereof.  Many activities will continue throughout, but each hour will have a featured activity or two, and some are while-supplies last. Craftapalooza craft lineup finalized this morning.  Some projects will only be available for one hour, and some (more help-yourself) throughout the afternoon.  All crafts will be more self-led than our formal workshops, and the afternoon is designed for the whole family (ie, not a drop off event!)

~1-2 pm: wet felting with Becci & collage on wood boxes or discs with Shannon
~2-3 pm: original art button machine with Becci & Big Bubbles (making wands and trying them out!) with Valerie
~3-4 pm: acorn kids with Shannon & handsewn wee mice & owls with Valerie
~throughout: framed watercolors, finger knitting & pom-poms, and burlap embroidery.

*If you're a planner, full details will emerge on our Facebook page through the week, https://www.facebook.com/thewondercollective.

*Please do RSVP with a quick email (thewondercollective@gmail.com).  You don't need to prepay.
If you forget...still come!  We will have a few extra.

*Springfield Camp was very awesome.  I just posted a few best-of photos here: http://thewondercollective.blogspot.com/2013/08/native-roots.html.  Peek, be jealous, and plan on next year!

crafty kisses,
Valerie, Shannon, & Becci Z.

Native Roots

There are hours of photo editing and camp blogging yet to be done, but in the interim, here are a few quick favorite photos from our last day of Springfield Camp 2013 session two: Native Roots.  The week was gorgeous and the children even more so.  (sighs of contentment)  Joining us next summer?
