Springfield Farm: a peek at our camp venue

With our registration drive in full swing, I thought it was essential to get a few photos of our summer camp venue up.  Miss Ada, the lovely owner of the property where the Pagel family spends their summer, has graciously given us permission to use this 100-acre farm, heavily wooded and bordered by the Big Spring.  I get there as often as I can worm an invitation!  I think it is the most peaceful, wander-friendly place in the world; this corner of Pennsylvania made me fall in love and decide to stay.   I hope Shannon will post more, but I’m offering a few peeks now from our Easter egg hunt:

plans are brewing!

In our meeting yesterday, we finished our schedule for Springfield Camp week one:  “Sense of Wonder.”  We’re so excited!  Ideas dancing around like fireflies!  Now to balance the crowds of wondrous things to do with our firm belief in letting the learning & play unfold as long as it wants to….Summer is decidedly not for rushing.*

We have just 5 slots left for week one, so if you're thinking about it, don't wait too long.  (contact Miss Shannon at shannonmccrae@yahoo.com).
